Every route ends at Pamba, the base of the hill. From there, pilgrims walk about 5 km uphill to the shrine at Sannidhanam.

Road routes to Pamba
Erumeli route
About 61 km in total from Erumeli. The traditional route used by many groups, who also visit the Vavar shrine at Erumeli.
Vandiperiyar route
About 95 km in total, used by pilgrims coming from Tamil Nadu side via Kumily.
Chalakkayam route
Described by Kerala Tourism as the easiest route; it runs near the Pamba river.
In the season, private vehicles are usually stopped at Nilakkal base camp, and pilgrims continue to Pamba by KSRTC bus. Check the current traffic arrangements before you travel.
